01. Over! Over!
(Smith)
4:04
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
I think it's over now, I think it's ending
I think it's over now, I think it's beginning
(I don't love you and I never did)
A seven-year cycle seems to happen every day
(I don't love you and I never did)
I walk up the hill and then
Descend in every way
I think it's over now, I think it's ending
(I don't love you and I never did)
(I don't love you and I never did)
I think it's over now I think it's beginning
(I don't love you and I never did)
(I don't love you and I never did)
A seven-year cycle seems to happen every day
It is now ending now it is beginning
(I don't love you and I never did)
(I don't love you and I never did)
I think it's over now, I think it's the beginning
(I don't love you and I never did)
(I don't love you and I never did)
One day three fellows they all clubbed together
To get their hair back and replace their shiny heads
All tan-skinned, they did sail the shiny sea
I think it's over now, I think it's ending
(I don't love you and I never did)
(I don't love you and I never did)
I think it's over now, I think it's beginning
(I don't love you and I never did)
(I don't love you and I never did)
To find their head clown it was shut by the EC
With Refurbishing Incorporated plc
I think it's over now, I think it's beginning
I think it's over now, I think it's ending
(I don't love you and I never did)
(I don't love you and I never did)
Seven-year cycle
(I don't love you and I never did)
Happens every day
(I don't love you and I never did)
Walk up the hill
(I don't love you and I never did)
And descend in every way
I don't love you and I never did
I don't love you and I never did
I don't love you and I never did
We are not over yet, not even started
And they all club before, together
(I don't love you and I never did)
I think it's ending now, I think it's starting
(I don't love you and I never did)
I think it's over now
Over! Over!
A seven-year cycle happens every day
The mention of the [?]
(I don't love you and I never did)

Notes:
[1] Inspired by the Black River Falls Motel in Wisconsin, USA. Wisconsin is known as the "cheese state".
[2] TLC allegedly stands for Treacherous Lying Cunts (in reference to Ben Pritchard, Steve Trafford & Spencer Birtwistle).
[3] Blimp is Spencer Birtwistle's band.
[4] TF is probably a reference to Tycoons Follies, Steve Trafford's band. Later in the song referred to incorrectly (possibly deliberately) as Typhoon Follies.
[5] German for "work with us".
03. Fall Sound
(Smith/Barbato/Presley/McCord)
3:53
Drrrrrrrrrrrrrr-uh
Drrrrrrrrrrrrrr-uh
Woken up to Fall sound
And you've just split up
With your long-legged rap chick
O-on Fall sound, th-this is it
Cos your Daddy had a stroke in the toilet [? tub][? on the tour]
to the Fall's annual bank balance [? took the funds out of your bank balance]
Fall sound!
I've seen POW's less hysterical than you
Only water passes my lips
Only beer passes my throat, hit it!
The guitars need more Fall sound
No '80s reprobates
Fall sound
No laptop wankers overground
With Fall sound
It's a business line not a chat line
"Wonderin' what's up?"
It's Fall sound!
I have woken up
No
It's Fall sound!
It's much too late
It's a scream for help that's desperate
But it's tough luck
It's a Fall sound
You try to ingratiate t-t-t-t-to the Fall sound
But you're much t-t-t-t-too late for Fall sound
No fag-end blowin' your face with Fall sound
No Newsnight for you, baby, with Fall sound
Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
You've just woken up to Fall sound
Fall sound!
F-f-fall sound overground
No Newsnight with Fall sound
F-f-f-Fall sound

04. White Line Fever
(Haggard)
3:00
(Band chatter)
White Line Fever
A sickness bored deep into my soul
White Line Fever
The past keeps going down like the tele' poles
The wrinkles in my forehead show the miles I've put behind me
And continue to remind me, the fact I'm growing old
I've still got that fever in my soul
I wonder what keeps a man pushing on
I wonder what keeps me singing this old highway song
I've been from coast to coast
Many miles I've gone
And there ain't one town I haven't seen before
White Line Fever
A sickness bored deep into my soul
White Line Fever
The past keeps going on like the telephone poles
The ghost of the airwaves shows the miles I've put behind me
They continue to remind me, the fact I'm getting old
White Line Fever
White Line Fever
For throwing things out of the car
It's a 50 pound, hundred dollar fine
The lines I've put behind me
And the ghosts I've put behind me
They continue to remind me
The fact I'm growing old
(Band chatter)
05. Insult Song
(Smith/Barbato/Presley/McCord)
5:40 (LP 6:44)
White line fever
I got it off the children of Captain Beefheart
They’d been locked in the forest for many years
They could not help it
They were retards from the Los Angeles district
There was Tim
There was Tim 2
There was Rob
There was Dave the Eagle
And the mad Greek woman, The Hydra
It was White Line Fever
Over and over again
Over and over again
They had us trapped in the hills
Playing their Los Angeles music over and over
It sounded like Amon Duul at first
But in fact it was a plot by three of them
We thought they wore masks
Until we asked them to take them off
They took the trout replica a bit too far
They would copy Darkly My Love
They were cool cats
They were White Line Fever
They were a bunch of twats
White Line Fever
White Line Fever
Often on the beach they would play for ever and ever
In the sandy surf of L.A. County
One day they put their sandals on
And decided to go in to Rochdale
They were pretty outta sight
Orpheo, the ancient name from Greece
Orpheo, Tim Presley… how many names did they have?
Nobody knew
Was it Latin?
Was it Yamaha?
Nobody knew
So they traveled like the born again Christians
Or the Jehovah’s Witnesses
So they traveled and traveled
Till they reached the holy town of Ro'dale
And Nob End
And Ramsbottom
To find their true wagon, Christianity
They were so happy!
They were so happy, they could not describe it themselves!
Festivals
Sauna in the hotels
Fantastic views of the English countryside
They were besides themselves with happiness
Their tour guide, Dave
Put a stocking over his head, and you couldn’t tell the difference
Following their leader blindlessly and obeying in all goodness
The long trail to the Lancashire hilltops
Happy in their fulfillment
Little did they know they were paying by the minute
For the tape they were wasting
06. My Door Is Never
(Smith)
3:39
My door is always open
My door is always open
My door is always open to you
My door is always open
My door is always open
My door is always open to you
The night to self with the shoulder touch
Aroma for the duvet you slept in
No, not never, no day
Will I prove my nerve to you
Or impress your dipshit head like others do
I crave your death inside my mind's eye
A-and my beer will never be open
My door will never be open
My door will never be open to you
My door will never be open
My door will never be open
My door will never be open to you
To you
My door is always open
My door is always open
Everything that I was supposed to have learned
But my spectre is coming after you
I crave your death within my mind's eye
My door will never be open
My door will never be open
My door will never be open to you
My door will never be open to you
My door will never be open to you
My door will never be open
My door will never be open
My door will never be open to you
To you
07. Coach And Horses
(Smith/McCord)
1:48
I looked through the 1860's window pane
I see coaches and horses moving around in the slashing rain
no fun
coaches and horses movin' around
coaches and horses movin' around
I go down and swear in every inn
I need the enter no service for you...I swear
the coaches and horses move around
I followed it into the late for delivery
coaches and horses had their plumes on again
they say you can't come in, your coat infused
I swear to you everything I enter refused
they say no chemicals have been invented yet
in the 1860's again
08. The Usher
(Smith/Barbato/Poulou/Presley/McCord))
1:17
The promise
They portioned to promise
They portioned to promise
Tale of “The Usher”
A. No violence
B. Ultimate sorryness
C. A mutual respect for all in the business
The reformation is coming!
It is coming fastly
And:
D. An even cash flow - this cannot be under-rated
E. Cut down on rhythm machines and have more guitars and minidisks, etc.
F. Treat PR, security people, agents, etc. with the respect and honour that they deserve
6. Enjoy film
09. The Wright Stuff
(Smith/Barbato/Poulou)
5:47 (LP 6:24)
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
That boy certainly transferred himself
From the footballer before
You'd hardly recognise him
As a child, everywhere he went
Probably people would say
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
It was symbolic to a point
But nowadays, eccentric lad
Who keeps flawless, plastic women's bosoms
The Wright stuff!
How did he find
The Wright stuff!
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
I said, nowadays
Eccentric lad
He keeps flawless, plastic women's bosoms under his TV desk and dressing room
Oh yes
Growing up, his family had no problems with nudity
In fact, he's held his dad in good stead
On I'm A Celebrity
(Doo doo-doo-doo)
(Doo doo-doo-doo)
Get Me Out Of Here
(Doo doo-doo-doo)
Comprehensive in thought, he overlooks
The fat ??? from his desk
The Wright stuff!
Who did he find?
The Wright stuff!
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Everybody wore the same
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
He overlooks the ??? from his desk
For it's the wettest London weather, for, in his memory at least
Ever
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Everybody wore the same
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Look at her
When that woman trapped her scarf
In the tube
And some inconsiderable passenger left the window open
The wind was blowing
The Wright stuff!
How did he find
The Wright stuff!
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
The Wright stuff
Everybody wore the same
The Wright stuff!
How did he find
The Wright stuff!
How did he find
The plastic bosoms
Everybody wore the same
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
You're gorging every can of food
Because you can't find
The Wright stuff!
How did he find
The Wright stuff!
Everybody wore the same
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
The Wright stuff
How did he find
The [?] bosoms
How did he find
The Wright stuff
His dad in the middle
His mum with the scar
The Wright stuff
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Everybody wore the same
Money wasn't tight
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo
The Wright stuff!
How did he find
The Wright stuff!
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Everybody wore the same
That boy
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
That scar
Her hat
The wind
The window left open so inconsiderate
Of him
The Wright stuff
How did he find
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Doo doo-doo-doo
Her head hurts
He left the window open again
Doo doo-doo-doo-doo
It won't happen again
People would say
He would look around
He would see his memory collage
His parents, naked
(Cheering)
10. Scenario
(Smith/Barbato/Presley/McCord)
3:24
The pals of my childhood days
Pal of my childhood days
You taught me in worldly ways
I was a baby, me
Everything for me
I stole the gold from your hair
Who put the shaven threads there
I don't know any way to repay
My pal of my childhood
Or find my pals of my childhood days
It doesn't get me high
It only makes me cry
For the one who bore me
The November Day poppy on TV
Chindits... and Jap is impeached, reached [1]
I don't know any way
Mother, I can ever repay

And the one who bore him
And what for the one who threatened ye?
With no money

Notes:
[1] The Chindits were a World War 2 allied brigade that fought in Burma against the Japanese. The father of a close friend of MES fought in that brigade.
[2] Many of the lyrics originate from a song "Pal Of My Cradle Days" written in the 1920s by Al Piantadosi (music) and Marshall Montgomery (lyrics). The lyrics were written in a war journal by the Chindit mentioned above.
