Anderton claimed to hold regular conversations with the Supreme Being, to be the agent of Divine Will, to be a reincarnation of Oliver Cromwell, and that homosexuality had to be illegal, because it said so in the Bible, and that homosexuals were "swilling around in a cesspool of their own making".
