David: "After three years without The Fall I decided on the spur of the moment to watch them perform in my home town. It helped rejuvenate my interest, because they weren't bad at all. Mark behaved himself, the band seemed pretty together and - best of all - Julia Nagle's keyboards were inaudible. They performed a stunning I Am Damo Suzuki with Mark going on and on and on, while the rest of the band watched him/each other with anxious expressions. I seem to remember a snatch of Paint Work but that could well be wishful thinking on my part: however, they definitely played a second oldie and that is the one that sticks in my mind for some reason.
"Unfortunate memorable moment: during the first or second song, someone threw a full glass of beer over MES. The band stopped playing, MES barely reacted and they carried on with the next song as the relevant party was led out, looking like he chewed bricks for breakfast. Not sure why you'd pay to get in and then throw your beer during the opening numbers, but there you go.
"More pleasant memorable moment: a girl of about 17 or 18 who stood erect throughout (no jokes, please), absolutely beautiful with long blonde hair and a full-length white dress. This sticks in my mind for some reason ... "
